Sanxia District () is an urban district in the southwestern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. It is the second largest district in New Taipei City after Wulai District.
==Name==
The old name of Sanxia, ''Saⁿ-kak-éng'' () refers to the meeting of the Dahan River, Sansia River, and "Horizontal River" (橫溪). In 1920, Taiwan's Japanese government the area was administratively designated as Sankyō Town (三峽街), Kaizan District (海山郡), Taihoku Prefecture. Sankyō () means "Three Gorges".
